On January 15th, 2026, PLAYBRAIN officially turns ten years old.

A decade ago, PLAYBRAIN started with a simple belief: games deserve marketing that understands them as culture, not just a product. Since then, we’ve grown alongside an industry that never stops reinventing itself—learning, adapting, and occasionally unlearning what we thought we knew.

In that first year, we produced a live painted billboard for Hearthstone in Shinjuku, directed videos and designed graphics for the first two splits of LJL, ran Clash Royale's first ever tournament and launched an online game community called DEKKI. It was a busy first year.

PLAYBRAIN 2016 Work

Ten years later, we have grown and developed. We now support the continuation of LJL, fully operating the league and ensuring Japanese players have a place to continue to develop their skills and experience. We continue to produce esports content for Riot Games, Konami, Ubisoft, Supercell, Geoguessr and more. Our business has expanded to include FUTAROKU, our mechandise brand, and TAIYORO, our online community for competitive gamers, and expanded our marketing services for gaming products in Japan and other parts of Asia.

PLAYBRAIN 2025 Work

We’ve had the privilege of working with developers, publishers, teams and partners who care deeply about what they create. Together, we’ve helped launch games, build communities, crown champions and tell stories that resonate far beyond a press release. None of that happens by accident, and none of it happens alone.

This anniversary is a milestone on a journey that has included many amazing people. The PLAYBRAIN team - past and present - who brought curiosity, craft, and grit to the work every day. The partners who trusted us with their ideas. And the players who remind us why this industry matters in the first place.

Ten years in, we’re proud of what we’ve built—and even more excited about what’s next. The tools have changed. The platforms have shifted. The audience keeps evolving. Our goal remains the same: to help gamers enjoy their passion and immerse in the culture of games.

Thank you for being part of the journey.
